Terms of Use

Article 1 (Application)

These Terms apply to all relationships between the provider of the App (“we” or “us”) and users concerning the use of the App.

The App is provided to users in the countries and regions where we distribute it through each app store. For use from countries or regions outside those covered, we do not guarantee compliance with the laws of those countries or regions.

Article 2 (Accounts and Saved Data)

Your matches, progress and settings in the App are all saved in the storage area on your device (localStorage). We do not have servers. If that storage area is lost, for example because the App is deleted, the device is reset or the device storage is cleared, there is no way to restore your progress. We do not currently offer a way to transfer data between devices.

No account registration is required to use the App. We do not ask you to register your name, email address, phone number or similar information.

Article 3 (Eligible Age)

The App is intended for users aged 13 and over. If you are under 13, please do not use the App. If you are a minor, please use the App with the consent of a parent or guardian.

The App is a game with mahjong as its theme. It has no feature for risking money or any other property of value on the outcome of play, and in-game resources cannot be exchanged for cash or for anything that can be converted into cash.

We do not collect your date of birth or any other information about your age.

Article 4 (Prohibited Conduct)

When using the App, users must not engage in any of the following conduct.

1. Reverse engineering, decompiling or disassembling the App, or analyzing or modifying its source code by any other means, except where such acts are expressly permitted by law.
2. Exploiting vulnerabilities in the App.
3. Manipulating the display or viewing of ads by improper means, and any other conduct that violates the terms of ad networks, such as intentionally clicking ads repeatedly.
4. Infringing the copyrights, trademark rights or other rights of other users, third parties or us.
5. Copying, distributing, lending, redistributing or commercially using all or part of the App without our permission.
6. Using the App to play for money or anything else of value, or for any other unlawful purpose.
7. Conduct that violates laws and regulations or public order and morals, or conduct related to criminal acts.
8. Any other conduct that we reasonably determine to be inappropriate.

Article 5 (Provision, Changes and Suspension of the Service)

We may change the content of the App, or suspend or end its provision, without prior notice.

Matches in the App work offline. Showing ads requires a network connection, and ads may not be shown depending on network conditions or ad inventory.

Article 6 (Intellectual Property Rights)

The rights to the App and to the programs, images, audio and text contained in it (excluding any parts in which we hold no rights) belong to us or to their rightful holders.

The images in the App (including the character artwork) were made using OpenAI’s image generation model (GPT Image), the character voices using Google’s speech synthesis model (Gemini speech synthesis), and part of the music using Google’s music generation model (Lyria), in each case during production, and were then selected and edited by us. The character voices are synthesized and are not the voices of real voice actors or other real people.

The App takes mahjong, as a general term, as its theme. The App is not endorsed by, and has no affiliation with, any particular competition body, tournament or professional organization.

The App features characters bearing the names of historical figures from the Three Kingdoms period of China, as well as real place names. The characters’ personalities, lines, appearances and stories were created for the game and do not claim to represent historical fact or the actual figures. Rinren, Kocho and Reika are fictional characters.

Article 7 (Fees)

The App can be downloaded free of charge, and all of its features can be used free of charge. The App has no paid products or services. In-app purchases are not implemented. The App displays ads.

Article 8 (Disclaimer)

1. We do not guarantee that the App is fit for any particular purpose of yours, that it has the functionality, accuracy or usefulness you expect, or that no defects will occur.
2. We are not liable for any damage you incur through the use of the App, except where it is caused by our intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
3. We are not responsible for recovering progress or settings saved on your device if they are lost because of device failure, deletion of the App, an OS update, insufficient storage or any other cause. We do not provide a backup feature for this data.
4. The content of ads is provided by ad networks and advertisers, and we do not guarantee it.

Article 9 (Handling of Personal Information and Other Information)

The handling of information in the App is governed by our separately established Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy forms part of these Terms.

Article 10 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.

If a dispute arises between us and a user concerning the App, the Japanese court having jurisdiction over our location shall be the court of exclusive agreed jurisdiction in the first instance.

Article 11 (Changes to These Terms)

We may change these Terms without notifying users individually when we consider it necessary. The revised Terms take effect when they are posted on this page.

When we make an important change, we will post the details of the change and its effective date at the top of this page for a certain period. If you use the App after a change, you are deemed to have agreed to the revised Terms.
